I). Lux inaccessa; & tamen omnia in omnibus. Ubique, & nullibi.
A Light inaccessible; and yet all in all. Everywhere, and nowhere.
Ontoegankelijk Licht, en toch alles in allen. Overal en nergens.

De hoofdstukken ‘Caelum/De Hemelen’ en ‘Deus/God’ uit Comenius’ Orbis Sensualium Pictus vormden het vertrekpunt voor de werken die ik voor deze expositie maakte. Mijns inziens kan mystiek zijn: de verbinding van het zichtbare met de wereld voorbij het zichtbare. ‘Caelum’ gaat over het mystieke verbinden, ‘Deus’ over de verbinding zelf.

(The chapters ‘Caelum/Heaven’ and ‘Deus/God’ in Orbis Sensualium Pictus were my points of departure for the works I made for this exhibition. The heart, where the visible world touches that which is beyond the visible, is the focal point in mysticism, I think. ‘Caelum’ is about connecting mystically, ‘Deus’ about the mystical connection itself.)
